House budget & a new program
Hello, Rise community and supporters!
Summer at the Rise House has looked like wonderful dinners, restful retreats, and… a whole lot of maintenance. Between regular set-up and big structural projects, the pace has been constant! Ultimately, in order to bring the Rise House to its fullest potential — a place to rest, learn, connect, play, and create where money is not a barrier — our main need is sustaining donors to support the operating budget. Can you or someone you know join our work in this way?
We’ve dreamed up a new way for the Rise community to care for each other: Rise Community Blankets! We will be sending blankets to all sorts of women and kids, for graduations, illnesses, housewarmings, and new babies (and pretty much any other occasion where a blanket would be welcome).
Now, we are seeking volunteers who would be willing to make a blanket, or several! If you knit, crochet, quilt, or love making fleece blankets, we'd love to have you join us. We can help with the cost of materials and/or shipping so please don't let the keep you from volunteering. Use the button below to register your interest, and we’ll be in touch with additional details.
Community Fund
We are a community that celebrates! In that spirit, we are thrilled to share that we have collected and given more than $23,000 to meet the needs of Rise women. That’s an amazing number! God continually provides miracles.
The Women of Rise
We love connecting women — the very people whose thriving motivates our work. Each month, we’ll wrap up the newsletter by introducing you to some members of the Rise community.

Andrea Humphries
Empowerment Director
Andrea is a born-and-bred church girl who empowers women to use their voices as they dismantle the correlation between femininity and a lack of intellectual depth, emotions and superficiality, and bodies as burdens to be endured. In a perfect world, she'd spend most of the day in a comfy chair with a stack of books and a bottomless mug of coffee.
